Lens material, protection and available finishes

The general technical specification indicates polycarbonate lenses, while the listed colour codes are described as plastic/organic lens variants. This makes them lightweight and practical for everyday sun protection. The 9A and 82 options are polarized lenses, helping reduce glare from reflective surfaces such as roads, water and bright urban environments. Code 82 also features a silver semi-mirror finish for a more contemporary Ray-Ban look, while 71 and 9A preserve the recognizable green lens character.

Ray-Ban authenticity and logo

As this is an original Ray-Ban product, the lenses include the Ray-Ban logo. Polarized versions may carry the Ray-Ban P marking, and original Ray-Ban lenses commonly feature the subtle RB laser engraving as an authenticity detail.

Why replace only the lenses

Replacing only the lenses is a smart way to keep a frame that already fits you well while improving clarity, appearance and sun comfort. It is ideal when the frame is still in good condition but the lenses are scratched, worn or when you want to upgrade to a polarized or semi-mirror lens option.
